John Waters' Pink Flamingos

Now. I have to say that this is one of my favorite movies ever due to it's shock value. It is the best movie to bring out in front of your unsuspecting friends whilst intoxicated. Trust me. I tried it last night.
So... Anyway...

This movie is terrible in the best way possible. It's filthy for one. In one scene, a man ties a sausage to his phallus and shows it to some unsuspecting girls. Wow... this is the least of the insanity. The whole movie was filmed via John Waters' stoned hands, so the photography is shaky, and personal. This only adds to the films charm. Get this movie immediately. I give it a DIVINE:

9.2/10

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days

Let me say first: I counted (at least) 9 blatant product advertisements in this sorry excuse for entertainment. Okay... Now on with the review:

Do you ever see a movie that makes you wish that anyone affiliated with it should die a horrible death? Well! I just recently was subjected to such trash recently when my best friend, and his girlfriend, and her best friend dragged me out to the theatre on a friday night to see "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days". I don't know why I went (maybe because my friend was back from college for only a weekend!), but I did. Now I have a chronic headache. The main role is played by (shithead) Matthew Macongeyhay (I don't care how it's spelled, he doesn't deserve to live), a rich, muscular, and classically handsome advertising executive. He is planning to sell some jewels or some shit. Anyway. This movie was terrible. Don't waste your time. This gets an awful score of:

.5/10

Donnie Darko

I liked this movie from the beginning. Stellar soundtrack, fairly good acting, good script, and interesting ideas. It was thoughtful (if a little pretentious), and vocalized (Even visualized) some interesting ideas that I have mulled over in the past. The cinematography was OK... about a 7/10 in this field. Does no one know how to hold a shot anymore? I also felt that the mother's character should have been fleshed out more. She seemed a bit stock. The little sister also could have been killed for all I cared. There was little to no point in her existence...
They should have eaten that little runt.
The whole part with the dance troupe made me sick. I also wanted to cry for the asian girl. This was not needed. Anyway... This movie is a solid:

8.2/10!

(Fun fact!: Jake Gyllenhaal (Donnie Darko) is Maggie Gyllenhaal's (Elizabeth Darko) younger brother in real life! They're both really hot!)

Old School

Old school is supposedly an Animal House rehash. It looked to me like Animal House 4 years after college. It is almost as pitiful to see these jerks drinking their lives away as it is to see them wrestling in KY jelly in a baby pool with half-naked women. Basically, this movie was terrible, but I'm sure it'll be the next big thing in teenage social circles! Will Ferrell (sp?) should have turned this role down immediately. He's a funny guy, and there were some inklings of funniness in his character, but it got old quickly.
In all I give it a:

3/10
