Hey all, So as a lot of you probably know, the existing Mono website has been the same, since, uhh, around the year 2000. So that's almost 9 years of the same design, which includes some major issues such as no database (so no song search/cross-referencing), manual HTML updating every time we add a release, archaic links all over the place, etc. Now, with multiple ways of consuming music nowadays (our music is available on Last.fm, Archive.org, info via MySpace, on LegalTorrents.com, etc, etc) maybe it doesn't matter THAT much. But I would love to get an updated and better-looking site running some time in early 2009, with proper links to all the dynamic downloads/streaming sites, good artist crossreferencing, a better look, maybe even star ratings and dynamic reviews for releases, etc. So I'm wondering if there are any Monotonik fans out there who either: - are decent graphic artists/HTML creators to make the graphical basis of the new site. - are good enough coders to whip up some PHP for the site to make the pages actually dynamic and have artist pages, etc. - or both! I might be able to pay you by sending you a few video games or even a couple of hundred bucks if necessary, but obviously Monotonik is totally a nonprofit so I can't really afford to pay requisite hourly rates. Anyhow, if you're interested in having fun and making a new version of the site, ping me at simon at archive dot org and we'll work something out! Thanks! Simon [Monotonik founder.]
